TikTok star John Crawley, known as KingBeardX, is dead at 47

TikTok star John Crawley, known for his comedic videos commenting on people’s eating habits, has died at 47 after spending at least two weeks in the hospital.

The self-proclaimed “funniest dude on the internet,” who amassed 2.5 million followers posting on the TikTok handle KingBeardX, died on Monday at a Mississippi hospital, according to an online obituary.

A director for the funeral home handling his final arrangements confirmed to TMZ that Crawley died of cardiac arrest.

Crawley’s death was also confirmed by a GoFundMe campaign set up Aug. 5 after he went into intensive care for trouble breathing. The fundraising effort, initially set up because Crawley didn’t have health insurance, is now collecting money to help his mother cover funeral expenses.

Fans of Crawley remembered him fondly on the Glenfield Funeral Home’s website.

“Your videos were a ray of sunshine in my day. Especially your Cinnamenem roll one ❤️ we’ll miss you!” wrote one supporter.

“Cinnamenem” is a reference to the way Crawley pronounced “cinnamon” in a popular post in which he ranted about another influencer instructing viewers to eat rolls with a fork and start from the middle.

“You gonna’ have all these goofy ass children walking around eating the cinnamenem rolls the wrong way!” he complained.

He also commented how some people ate pizza sandwiches, BBQ poppers and croissant donuts.

He last posted on TikTok on July 22, during which he contemplated doing a meet-and-greet with fans.
