A Queens man was arrested Monday for fatally stabbing a 46-year-old neighbor who lived in the same three-family home, police said.
Rosendo Lopez, 35, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon for the stabbing-death of Lidio Castro-Cruz inside the Case St. triplex in Elmhurst shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday, cops said.
Castro-Cruz was found in the basement stairwell with a puncture wound to the chest, police sources said.
It was unclear what sparked the violence; both men lived in the same building complex, cops said.
Castro-Cruz was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital.
Lopez’s arraignment in Queens criminal court was pending Monday night.
