No matter if it’s true or not, A$AP Rocky isn’t quite ready to let the cat out of the bag about his marriage status with Rihanna.
The rapper and actor, who has long called the billionaire popstar his “wife,” did however hint that them tying the knot was already done deal.
“How you know I’m not already a husband?” he said when asked if he was looking forward to being a married in an Elle interview published Tuesday. “I’m still not gonna confirm it.”
Earlier this year, Rocky referred to the Fenty mogul as his “wife” during an on-camera chat with Mystery Fashionist.
“I’m gonna ride till the wheels fall off like she do,” he explained in March. “That’s my dog, that’s my [N-word], that’s my b—-, that’s my wife, that’s my everything.”
Rocky and Rihanna first confirmed their romance in 2020 after nearly a decade of close friendship. They share two sons — 3-year-old RZA and 2-year-old Riot Rose — and are expecting their third child any day now.
Rocky told Elle that after having two sons, he’s hoping for a girl.
“This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience,” he said. “I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
But whatever the gender, the newborn may be named after another celebrity friend; their first child was named after Wu Tang Clan founder RZA.
In his latest interview with GQ, Rocky teased that baby number three might just be named after his “Highest 2 Lowest” co-star, Denzel Washington.
“Denzel, no matter what,” the Harlem native said. “The first female [to] come out named Denzel, it’s lit. We got it figured out.”
The two-time Oscar winner, who headlines the most recent Spike Lee film, broached the idea of how Rocky could honor him in the delivery room.
“I think Denzel’s a beautiful name for a son,” Washington said.
