Adam Scott reassured ‘Severance’ cast he wasn’t doing cocaine

This Lumon employee needed a sick day.

Adam Scott sustained an injury while filming the hit Apple TV+ series “Severance” — which made his cast think he was on drugs, naturally.

“I got a concussion at one point,” he said Tuesday on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

But Scott was mum on what exactly happened, as to not spoil Season 2 of the show, which is out now.

The “Parks and Recreation” alum added: “But I got it. It happened.”

The on set mishaps didn’t end there.

“A little while later, I got this nosebleed that would not stop,” Scott recounted. “Like, no matter what we did, we could not get my nose to stop bleeding. It was disgusting and frustrating, but also, when there’s an actor who has a nose that will not stop bleeding, obviously, it’s cocaine, right? We all know this.”

Meyers teased that the actor’s nose was bleeding because he hadn’t paid his drug dealer, who then knocked him into the wall repeatedly as payback.

“So I was just, I was just sort of overcompensating and making way too many cocaine jokes,” Scott said. “Trying to reassure everyone that it wasn’t cocaine.”

Scott’s plan failed, and as he put it: “For sure, by the end of the day, everyone thought it was cocaine.”

All joking aside, Scott did end up having to see a doctor.

“We had to go, because it would not stop,” he admitted. “We went to an ER in upstate New York, and I had to get the inside of my nose cauterized.”

When Meyers shared a picture of the procedure being done, he added that it looked quite uncomfortable. Scott confirmed it was, noting the doctor warned it would cause an “extreme feeling of pepper being shoved up your nose.”

Ben Stiller, who’s an executive producer and director on “Severance,” took the photo.

“So it did hurt,” the star continued, “but then also it did feel like there was just a pound of pepper.”

And after the procedure, the doctor’s orders included not sneezing.

“It was super fun,” Scott quipped, his voice dripping in sarcasm.

Meyers joked he should have suggested something else was in his nose — anything but pepper.

“Like powdered sugar,” Scott said, “or cocaine.”
