“The Baldwins” are ready for their moment in the spotlight.
TLC released the first teaser for Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s reality show on Monday. The series, premiering Feb. 23, follows the couple dealing with “the challenges and humor” that come with raising their seven kids in the public eye.
The trailer also covers the aftermath of the October 2021 shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of Alec’s Western movie “Rust.”
“A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy,” Hilaria, 41, says, referring to Hutchins’ son Andros.
“This is never something to forget,” Hilaria adds, “and we’re trying to parent through it.”
In the next scene, Alec, 66, tells his wife, “Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids.”
The teaser also shows Hilaria telling one of her children to ignore a paparazzi taking pictures of them from nearby.
“We’ve had bad moments, but we found our foundation,” Hilaria says in a voiceover. “We’re solid and we’re here together.”
TLC’s description for the premiere episode reads, “Alec and Hilaria celebrate their oldest son Rafael’s ninth birthday and, in a bid to escape the noise of the city, they head to East Hampton to continue a yearly summer tradition. But in the midst of celebration is uncertainty as Alec faces trial. Alec and Hilaria navigate the emotional complexities of the moment, all while keeping their children’s lives as stable as possible.”
Alec and Hilaria filmed their show last year in the midst of the actor’s trial for the “Rust” shooting.
The “30 Rock” alum fired a real gun mistakenly loaded with a live round in October 2021 on the set of “Rust” in New Mexico, killing 42-year-old cinematographer Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.
Alec was charged with involuntary manslaughter. He faced a maximum of 18 months behind bars, but during his trial in July 2024 the judge tossed out the case and slammed prosecutors for withholding critical evidence from the defense.
Alec and Hilaria have been married since 2012. They share kids Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 3, Lucia, 3, and Ilaria, 1. Alec also shares daughter Ireland, 29, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
