Andy Dick suffers apparent overdose on L.A. street: report

Comedian Andy Dick was photographed sitting slumped over on a Los Angeles street after suffering an apparent drug overdose, according to a report.

In images obtained by TMZ, the 59-year-old funny man can be seen seated on cement stairs outside a Hollywood building in broad daylight on Tuesday. His glasses were also on the ground in front of him, alongside an open canned beverage.

Dick, wearing a brown jacket, Crocs and pajama pants, was reportedly in bad enough shape that several people tried to help prop him up. Witnesses told TMZ at least one of his friends was yelling at him to “get up” while another called an ambulance.

According to TMZ, someone on the scene called out for Narcan, an opioid overdose reversal drug, and Dick was administered the shot. He later told the outlet he was “alive and relieved he’s okay,” but he didn’t provide further details regarding his condition.

Dick, born Andrew Thomlinson, regained consciousness as first responders from the Los Angeles Fire and Police Departments arrived on the scene. He then reportedly turned down additional treatment and transportation to a hospital.

Known for appearances on “The Ben Stiller Show” and “Comedy Central Roasts,” has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse and has faced legal trouble in recent years, including allegations of sexual misconduct. He was convicted of sexual battery in November 2022 for grabbing an Uber driver’s crotch in April 2018. As a result, Dick was ordered to spend 90 days in prison and to register as a sex offender.
