Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reach divorce settlement after contentious eight-year legal battle

The contentious, years-long divorce battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is finally over after the two celebs reached a settlement, Jolie’s lawyer revealed Monday night.

Jolie, 49, and Pitt, 61, struck an agreement eight years after the high-powered couple broke up – with the actress’ legal team saying on Monday Jolie is ready to move on.

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” Jolie’s lawyer James Simon said in a statement.

“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

A rep for Pitt declined to confirm or comment on the development.

A source close to the matter told The Post, “[Jolie] doesn’t speak ill of him publicly or privately. She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time.”

The pair have engaged in the years-long fight over custody of their children, dividing assets and the sale of their French winery after Jolie filed for divorce from the “Moneyball” actor that has sparked an endless stream of accusations.

While the divorce proceeding is settled, Jolie and Pitt still have a court battle brewing tied to their French vineyard, Château Miraval, which they two bought in 2008.

Pitt filed a lawsuit against Jolie after she sold her 50% stake in the sprawling vineyard.

Pitt claims she was supposed to offer the shares to him first as part of an agreement they had in place.

But Jolie subsequently argued she did not sell to Pitt because he wanted her to sign a non-disclosure agreement that would cover up alleged past bad behavior.

Jolie and Pitt first met on the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in 2005 and the new “it” couple was quickly dubbed “Brangelina”.

The two got married in 2014.

The ex-spouses share three biological children, including twins, and another three adopted children.

All of the kids are now legal adults except the twins, who are 16 years old.
