All charges have been dropped against former “NYPD Blue” star Kim Delaney and her husband, according to a report published Tuesday.
Delaney and husband James Morgan were both arrested Saturday following a domestic dispute in Southern California, authorities said. Delaney was charged with felony assault, while Morgan was accused of misdemeanor domestic violence.
But the Los Angeles County District Attorney decided not to file either charge, TMZ reported. There was not enough evidence to pursue either case, prosecutor’s office sources told the outlet.
Delaney, who’s also known for appearances on “General Hospital” and “All My Children,” was arrested at her and Morgan’s home in Marina Del Rey, according to police.
Investigators said the domestic dispute began Friday night, leading Delaney to file a police report after Morgan left the scene. When Morgan returned the next morning, the fight continued until Delaney tried to run Morgan over with a car, police sources told TMZ.
Delaney and Morgan tied the knot in October 2022, but their union has been turbulent. Just five months later, they filed divorce documents in Los Angeles County, and in April 2023, Delaney obtained a restraining order against Morgan, the Los Angeles Times reported.
However, neither Delaney nor Morgan appeared in court afterward in relation to the restraining order or the divorce filings, so both were dropped.
