At least 24 arrested at ICE protest inside Manhattan’s Trump Tower

Protesters railing against ICE raids took over the lobby of Manhattan’s Trump Tower Monday, with police making at least 24  arrests.

The protesters, expected to be charged with trespassing, started gathering around noon inside the famed Fifth Ave. tower, police said. There are not believed to be any injuries.

The protest came as the Trump administration controversially has sent National Guard troops to Los Angeles, where protesters have been clashing with law enforcement over stepped up ICE raids for several days.

A larger protest is planned for later in the afternoon outside 26 Federal Plaza in Lower Manhattan, where ICE detainees are being held.
