An attempted suicide at a Bronx subway station has led to massive train delays on Saturday, officials said.
The 35-year-old man who sparked the delays jumped in front of a Manhattan-bound No. 6 train entering the Third Ave.-138th St. station, cops said.
An MTA motorman saw the commuter jump onto the tracks as the train entered the station at about 9 a.m., cops said. The man was struck by the oncoming train but only suffered a deep gash to his head, police said.
EMS rushed him to Lincoln Hospital, where he is expected to survive.
The MTA shut down all No. 4/5/6 and No. 2 lines between Manhattan and the Bronx as EMS recovered the victim and an investigation began.
Within an hour, the lines were opened again but were operating with delays.
“Southbound 6 trains are running express from Hunts Point Av to 3 Av-138 St.,” the MTA noted on X.
