Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s kids hate ‘Armageddon’

When it comes to roasting, Ben Affleck gets the triple frontier.

The actor’s three kids Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner can’t help but tease their dad about his work in Hollywood.

Affleck, 52, and his children went to the premiere of his new movie “The Accountant 2” where the trio made it clear how they felt about their dad’s acting in the action/thriller.

“I was excited that they wanted to come see it, but my kids, they’re like very tough and they don’t censor their criticism,” the star recounted while on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday. “I mean, they’ll sit right next to me watching a movie and while it’s happening [and they say], ‘This is terrible. This is terrible! Why did you do this?’”

Affleck added, “Like, you could wait till it ended, you know what I mean?”

“The kids liked it though?” host Jimmy Kimmel, 57, asked.

“They did!” Affleck replied. “At first, it was one of those things where they looked at me like you thought I was looking at you, like what’s the catch? I was like, ‘You really liked it?’ They were like, ‘yeah, it was good!’ And they were shocked, like I got lucky, like this magical accident happened and something I did was OK.”

“The Flash” alum also recalled the time he had a movie night with his kids during COVID and what their preference to watch was.

“During Covid, all the kids were in the house and I was like, ‘Hey, let’s watch a movie.’ I thought maybe the kids will like ‘Armageddon,’” Affleck shared. “[But] almost immediately, it was like, ‘What? What is this? This is so stupid. Are you kidding me?’”

“My son was like, ‘This doesn’t make sense.’ I was like, ‘This is not a logic-based film! That is not one of the criteria we used making this!’”

During the red carpet premiere of “The Accountant 2,” Affleck made a rare comment about his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, whom he was married to for two years from 2022 to 2024.

The actor told Entertainment Tonight that his and Lopez’s five combined children were there to support his latest project.

The singer, 55, shares twins Emme and Max, 17, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

“The kids are here, Jen’s kids are here. I’m very, very excited,” Affleck gushed. “I love when all the kids come out.”

He also admitted everyone is on good terms despite his split from the Lopez.

“I don’t read the stuff online much, and sometimes I get the sense that people perpetuate the idea of … they wanna find something negative to talk about,” Affleck stated.

“For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them,” continued the “Daredevil” actor. “I love her kids. They’re wonderful. She’s [an] enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.”

“I’m thrilled that the kids are here with me. The relationships that you can have with children like that, it’s the joy of my life. And those kids are amazing, and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come to.”

After the ET reporter praised Affleck for being “a really good dad,” he replied, “I try my best.”

Affleck and Lopez tied the knot in July 2022, two decades after calling off their first engagement.

By August 2024, the artist had filed for divorce and the pair finalized their divorce in January.

Lopez spoke about their split in October, telling Interview Magazine she has no regrets about their relationship.

“That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did,” she expressed. “But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘F – – k, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, god. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times.’”
