A pizza deliveryman on a bicycle was clinging to life Saturday after he collided with a Lexus at a Brooklyn corner and was thrown into the middle of the street, police and witnesses said.
The 38-year-old bicyclist was crossing E. 56th St. at Linden Blvd. in East Flatbush at around 11:45 p.m. Friday when he collided with the Lexus SUV, cops said. The driver of the Lexus, who is also 38, was heading west on Linden Blvd. when the crash occurred.
Witnesses heard the sound of tires screeching and a loud crash before going outside and finding the victim sprawled out on the asphalt.
“The guy almost ended up in the middle of the street next to a car,” said one witness, who would only identify himself as Juan. “There was blood coming from his mouth. I tried to talk to him, but he was not responding. He tried to move but, after a while, he was not moving anymore. Just bleeding from the mouth.”
EMS rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he remained in critical condition Saturday. The driver of the Lexus was also taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.

Both the Lexus and the victim’s bicycle — along with a warming bag with two green pizza boxes inside — remained at the scene as the investigation into the crash continued.
No arrests were immediately filed.
