Blake Lively claims she lost $161M from ‘It Ends With Us’ smear campaign

Blake Lively has claimed she suffered $161 million in damages due to the alleged smear campaign launched against her during the release of “It Ends With Us.”

In newly unsealed documents originally submitted in July and obtained by The Post on Friday, Lively’s attorneys claimed she lost at least $56.2 million in past and future earnings from acting, speaking engagements and endorsements, as well as a $49 million loss from her haircare line, Blake Brown, and a $22 million loss from her beverage company, Betty Buzz/Betty Booze.

Furthermore, the attorneys said Lively, 38, has suffered at least $34 million in reputational harm.

Lively’s legal team is reportedly seeking at least three times the $161 million amount in punitive damages.

Elsewhere in the documents, Lively named a long list of celebrities as potential witnesses in her ongoing lawsuit against her “It Ends With Us” director Justin Baldoni.

Over 100 people are named, including Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Swift, Hugh Jackman, Emily Blunt, Gigi Hadid and HAIM band members Este, Danielle and Alan Haim.

Others on the list include “It Ends With Us” author Colleen Hoover, the film’s cast members Jenny Slate and Isabela Ferrer, and Lively’s “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” co-stars Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn and America Ferrera.

“This is not a new list. This was for discovery,” a source told People. “It’s a basic part of the process as you head into discovery. They’re not witnesses.”

In the docs, Lively’s attorneys stated that the group listed as potential witnesses “are likely to have discoverable information that they may use to support their claims or defenses in this matter, unless solely for impeachment.”

Hoover, Slate and Ferrera were all deposed already.

Swift, 35, was previously subpoenaed by Baldoni’s legal team in the case. However, the subpoenaed was dropped in May after Swift’s team argued the pop star had no involvement in the making of “It Ends With Us.”

Lively is currently suing Baldoni, 41, and his Wayfarer Studios, claiming she was sexually harassed on the set of the 2024 film. She filed the initial lawsuit in Dec. 2024.

The mother of four is also suing Baldoni’s publicity team for allegedly launching a smear campaign against her.

Her claims against social media consultant Jed Wallace, a key player in the case, were dismissed in July.

Baldoni has denied all of Lively’s allegations. He countersued Lively and Reynolds, 49, for extortion and defamation, but the $400 million lawsuit was thrown out by the judge overseeing the case in June. Baldoni still has the right to file an appeal.

Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni is scheduled to go to trial in March 2026.
