Brooklyn panhandler fatally struck by hit-and-run Audi driver, dragged for half mile


A panhandler begging for change on a Brooklyn street was fatally struck by an Audi driver who dragged him for a half mile in a harrowing hit and run, police said Wednesday.

Michael Foster was walking in the roadway on Caton Ave. near Flatbush Ave. in Flatbush when the speeding driver of a white Audi plowed into him about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.

The driver dragged Foster, 64, for half a mile before the victim fell away from the car, landing in the street near Linden Blvd. and Nostrand Ave., cops said.

He died at the scene.

The Audi driver never stopped and sped off into the night.

No arrests have been made.
