A Brooklyn public school teacher has been arrested for sexually abusing a 16-year-old student, police said Thursday.
Steven Schnee, 48, is facing charges of forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse for the incident inside his Coney Island school.
The victim claimed Schnee inappropriately touched her leg and made her feel uncomfortable.
Cops arrested Schnee at the school about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. The name of the school and the date of the alleged incident were not immediately disclosed.
The suspect earned $140,000 working for the Department of Education last year, according to the website SeeThruNY.
His arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending Thursday.
An email to the Department of Education for comment was not immediately returned.
