Buzz Aldrin’s wife, Anca Faur, has passed away aged 66 – just two years after the couple tied the knot.
The former astronaut and Faur’s families announced the devastating news in a statement shared to Facebook on Wednesday. They revealed she died “peacefully” on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
“Dr. Anca Aldrin, wife of astronaut Buzz Aldrin, peacefully passed away last night with her husband and her son, Vlad Ghenciu by her side,” her loved ones shared.

“Mrs. Aldrin, an accomplished chemical engineer with a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, served as the treasurer for the California Hydrogen Business Council and as Executive Vice President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC,” they added.
Aldrin, meanwhile, remembered his late wife in a short statement of his own.
“I am so fortunate to have found and married the love of my life,” the NASA legend, 95, said. “She brought joy to everything we did together. I will miss her dearly.”
The Post has reached out to the Aldrin family’s reps for further comment.
This is a developing story…
