Cardi B ‘bodega’ pop-up in upper Manhattan revs up big crowd of fans

A massive crowd formed Saturday afternoon as rapper Cardi B hosted a free pop-up event in the neighborhood where she grew up.

Hundreds of fans of the Grammy-winning artist flocked to the event around 1 p.m. at Cloud Deli near W. 159th St. and Amsterdam Ave. in Washington Heights for a “Bodega Baddie” pop-up event where Cardi B greeted people — and treated the crowd to some twerking — atop a black SUV.

“I can’t believe all these people popped up for me,” she said on Instagram Stories following the event.

The event was announced on the 32-year-old’s rapper social media pages less than 24 hours ago.

“I wanna see all my BODEGA BADDIES tomorrow! Meet me Saturday at Cloud Deli NYC at 1pm for a quick lil pop up turn up!!!” Cardi B posted on social media.

Content creator Fanum attended the event, greeting the rapper inside the Manhattan deli.

This event comes as the famed rapper is scheduled to release an album on Sept. 19th titled, “Am I The Drama?”

The event, which ran for an hour until 2 p.m., was said to be orderly, according to cops.

“It’s like a blessing,” Cardi B said. “Washington Heights is like a very underestimated ’hood when it comes to New York City. They always talk about Brooklyn, the Bronx and everything. I’ve had the best times of my life in my teenage years (here) when I was young.

“It’s such a good feeling,” she added, “especially for my daughter to see this and I’m very grateful.”
