Cardi B will not perform at an Atlanta music festival this weekend due to a medical emergency, she announced Wednesday on social media.
The “Bodak Yellow” artist, 32, has been hospitalized for several days, but she did not reveal her condition.
“I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and won’t be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” Cardi wrote in an Instagram post. “It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend, and I really wish I could be there.”
Cardi, whose legal name is Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, was scheduled to perform as the Saturday night headliner at the festival. The event also includes Earth, Wind & Fire, Nelly, Gunna and GloRilla performing across Saturday and Sunday in Atlanta’s Central Park.
“Let’s all keep [Cardi] in our prayers for a full recovery!” read a Wednesday night Instagram post from the festival. “We are working hard to find a replacement at this late date. More to come soon.”
It has been a dramatic few months and days for Cardi. In August, she filed for divorce from husband Offset for the second time, then announced almost immediately after that she was pregnant with the couple’s third child.
She delivered the baby on Sept. 7 and shared photos from the hospital with Offset and their other two kids, 6-year-old Kulture and 3-year-old Wave.
On Monday of this week, workers with Child Protective Services arrived at her house after a prank call, according to a furious social media video she recorded Tuesday morning from the hospital.
And on Wednesday, Cardi lit into Offset in a series of since-deleted tweets, calling him a “dirty a– narcissistic piece of s–t” and wishing “the worst on this man.”
