Cardi B shared the “secret” to her glowing skin thanks to Raising Cane’s new skincare “sauce.”
It’s April 1, which means it’s prime time for online pranks. And the “Bodak Yellow” artist delivered when she posted a video telling her followers about her new partnership with fried chicken chain Raising Cane’s and beauty brand IPSY.
“Let me tell you a little secret. So everybody always ask me, how do my skin look so beautiful, so shiny, so amazing at the age of 32, 3 kids, job stressing me out and sleepless nights,” she said in the video posted to Instagram.
“Well, I’ve been using this new cream. It’s the Canes moisturizing sauce cream. Oh my gosh,” she said as she displayed the jar or pink cream to the camera.
“It’s not greasy, not sticky, and it smells just like chicken,” Cardi B said as she lathered the restaurant’s staple sauce on her face. The Grammy winner then went on to taste the “moisturizing sauce” before describing it as “so delicious” and “so refreshing.” “Sorry, I’m just so hungry and the moisturizer just tastes so good!”
The fast food chain calls the skincare venture “an unprecedented move,” in a Raising Cane’s press release. The company continues explaining that their new “moisturizing sauce “is the latest beauty craze to hit the market and is the perfect solution for those looking to update their skincare routine.”
But fans quickly caught on to the joke, letting out sighs on relief in the comments. “Happy April 1st, she won,” one fan wrote.
“Lmao bye Cardi,” another added, “Took me a sec but dang it, I ain’t no APRIL FOOL!”
