The cause of death has been revealed for YouTuber Adam “The Woo” Williams, who was found dead in his Florida home just before Christmas.
The 51-year-old TheDailyWoo vlogger died of atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) with obesity, the Orange County Medical Examiner told TMZ Tuesday.
The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
The American Heart Association said ASCVD can refer to a slew of conditions, including coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease — which can also signify a transient ischemic attack or ischemic stroke.
Obesity was listed as a contributing factor in Williams’ death, the manner of which was ruled natural, according to his father Jim Williams’ Facebook post Monday.
The grieving father cited key factors of the Medical Examiner’s report, which the family received earlier Monday.
“The rest is technical medical jargon. Our beloved Son…your beloved friend…died, in essence, of a heart attack in his sleep from health issues he probably never knew he had,” wrote Jim Williams.
“Now, we can all stop guessing. Be grateful the Lord allowed him to die at home and not in a foreign country. Be grateful he was found by friends (as hard as that was) and not some nameless stranger. … Be alert. Be ready. We love you all. Thank you for loving Adam.”
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office went to Williams’ home in Celebration for a well-being check on the afternoon of Dec. 22, but failed to make contact.
Then a friend, who’d seen Williams the day prior, “borrowed a ladder and looked in the 3rd story window to see a male on a bed that was not moving,” after which OCSO returned to the home.
In the immediate aftermath of his death, Williams boasted 1.1 million subscribers between his two accounts, TheDailyWoo as well as adamthewoo.
