Colin Jost is coming back to Studio 8H.
Scarlett Johansson confirmed that her husband is returning to “Saturday Night Live” for Season 51 following the dramatic cast shakeup.
“He’s going back to work,” the actress, 40, told Entertainment Weekly Sunday at the Toronto International Film Festival while promoting her directorial debut, “Eleanor the Great.”
But Johansson couldn’t confirm if she’ll be involved in another iconic “Weekend Update” joke swap segment with Jost, 43, and Michael Che.
“I think that’s basically the MO over at 30 Rock is that everything is like moments before,” the “Black Widow” star explained. “It’s usually like Friday night before the Saturday show.”
Johansson, who has hosted “SNL” seven times, the most of any woman, met her husband on the show in 2017. They got married in 2020 and welcomed their son Cosmo the following year.
Jost has been working on “SNL” since 2005. He was a staff writer before moving behind the “Weekend Update” desk in 2014 to co-anchor with Che, 42.
Che’s return for Season 51 has yet to be officially confirmed.
During a 2024 interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” Jost and Che were asked about leaving “SNL.”
“I wanna leave because I just feel like I miss stand-up,” Che said.
Jost chimed in: “I feel like, first of all, you’re very good at it and it is rewarding for you, even though you’re often like, ‘I want to do other stuff.’”
Che confessed, “It’s hard to imagine being gone. My brain is on the clock of ‘Saturday Night Live.’”
“People get burned out in ways you don’t see,” Jost went on. “People get burned out in a different way, when you have that level of heat for a while. It’s hard to keep doing it.”
Ahead of the show’s return next month, four cast members — Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow and Heidi Gardner — announced their departures from the sketch comedy series.
Walker, who was promoted to the main cast in 2024, was the first to confirm his exit last month. Wakim, who was an “SNL” newcomer and only appeared in a single season, quickly followed suit.
The Post later confirmed Longfellow and Gardner’s departures. They were on the show for three seasons and eight seasons, respectively.
An insider exclusively told The Post that Gardner’s contract was not renewed for Season 51. “It’s time for a new cast,” the source said.
When Walker announced his exit, he said the NBC series was sometimes “toxic as hell.” The comedian later clarified that he and the producers “decided together that it was time to go our separate ways.”
Meanwhile, five comedians — Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska— have been added to the Season 51 cast.
Marshall, 30, has been on “SNL” before. He joined the writing staff in 2021 and has since regularly appeared on-camera for segments with his comedy group, Please Don’t Destroy.
“SNL” Season 51 premieres Oct. 4 on NBC.
