A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly firing at another car during a road-rage incident in Hartford Thursday night.
Officers responded to an area near Park and Washington streets for reports shots fired at around 8:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle that had sustained gunfire damage, Hartford police said in a press release Friday.
After a description of the suspect’s vehicle was shared with other agencies, members of the Violent Crimes Unit and the Greater Hartford Regional Auto Theft Task Force located it a short time later, cops said.
The driver, 30-year-old Lorenzo Dunn, was arrested without incident. Detectives also recovered a firearm and narcotics from the vehicle, police said.
Dunn — who, according to investigators, had an active arrest warrant for an earlier fun-related assault — was booked into the Hartford Police Detention Facility and charged with attempted assault and reckless endangerment, as well as drug and weapons offenses.
No injuries were reported, police said.
Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the HPD tip line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
