Cops ‘accidentally’ release rob suspect, rearrest him in Manhattan

Police “accidentally” released a robbery suspect from Manhattan central booking — but managed to rearrest him in Harlem after he tried to give cops the slip a second time, authorities said.

Marco Andon, 34, was at central booking in downtown Manhattan after getting busted for petty larceny when he was mistakenly set free around 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to officials.

Once they realized the mix-up, court officials called the police precinct where Andon lives in Hamilton Heights and asked cops to bring him back in, the officials said.

Police spotted Andon near his apartment on 145th St., but he dashed into Riverside Park, eluding them. Officers later encountered Andon at W. 145th St. and Broadway, where they rearrested him.
