Cops arrest hulking suspect in fatal stabbing of Harlem father of three, 51

Police arrested a man in the fatal stabbing of a Harlem father of three children, cops said Tuesday.

Prince Nunnally, 32, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon Friday for allegedly knifing to death Raymond Page, 51, after throwing him to the ground and punching him multiple times on Aug. 15 around 1:20 p.m. on W. 128th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd. Responding officers found Page with multiple stab wounds throughout his body, court documents and police said.

EMS rushed the victim in critical condition to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“I’m still numb from all this to be honest,” Page’s ex-wife, Meredith Page, said. “It’s a tragic way to be taken out of this world. Obviously, the person who did this is going through something, as well. I don’t have all the information. It doesn’t make sense to me. They knew each other and were cordial with each other. I’m not sure what happened this particular morning or this afternoon that changed it all.”

“I did know that my ex-husband was recovering from surgery and had lost a substantial amount of weight. His normal weight was 170. At the time he was 110,” she added.

Nunnally, who lives in Harlem, was ordered held without bail at his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court by Judge Jeffrey Gershuny. He’s currently being detained on Rikers Island.

Nunnally is due back in court Dec. 4.

It was unclear how cops caught Nunnally. Police released a photo of him in early November in hopes someone would recognize him.

”The man who did it was about 300 pounds,” Raymond’s uncle David Page, 81, said. “A real big guy, 200-something, maybe 300 pounds. Someone showed me a picture of him. He came by the house looking for Ray two or three times. Sometimes Ray was home, and they talked. I thought they were just friends, but I couldn’t see what went on from where I was.”

Meanwhile, Raymond was very slight, less than half the suspected killer’s weight, his uncle said.

“Ray was small, maybe 110 pounds. Very quiet,” his uncle said. “He had just come out of the hospital a month ago. He’d had surgery, all stitched up after having stomach infection. He was still weak.”

Raymond was a “homebody,” and the father of two 18-year-old twin boys and a 15-year-old daughter, according to Meredith Page.

“He is not a street dude, he was never that,” she said. “I suspect that he knew this person. This is definitely strange and shocking.”
