Police are searching for a man who brutally beat a 15-year-old boy, fracturing his face and several ribs and causing his brain to bleed, before leaving him unconscious on a Brooklyn street, a police source said on Friday.
Video shows the man beating the youth to a bloody pulp on Pitkin Ave. between Euclid St. and Pine St. in East New York just before 5 a.m. on Thursday, the source said.
Medics rushed the unconscious teen to Brookdale University Hospital where he is in critical condition, with multiple facial fractures, including to his orbital bone, jaw and nose, several fractured ribs and a brain bleed, according to the police source.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the assault. In video obtained by police, the suspect is wearing a black do-rag, black T-shirt, black shorts and sneakers, the source said.
