Police have arrested the man they said forced a 13-year-old Bronx girl into a wooded area, where he performed a lewd act in her presence, officials said Friday.
Oneil Kennedy, 45, was taken into custody at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, less than 12 hours after he allegedly approached the young teen as she made her way to Baychester Middle School that morning, cops said.
He stopped the girl near Seton Falls Park near E. 233rd St. and Wilder Ave. in Edenwald, then coerced her into following him into the woods, cops said.
Once in the woods, Kennedy forced the child to lift up her blouse while he pleasured himself, cops said.
He then ran off, leaving the child alone in the woods.
The teen reported the incident that morning, giving police a very detailed description of the suspect.
Cops found Kennedy Thursday afternoon. It wasn’t immediately clear how officers managed to track him down.
Police charged him with endangering the welfare of a child, public lewdness, stalking and harassment.
His arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court was pending Friday.
