Cops are on the lookout for a woman who attacked two restaurant workers after spewing anti-Asian remarks at a Harlem Chinese eatery early this month.
The suspect was inside Empire Chinese restaurant in East Harlem, near Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. and West 141th St., on April 6 when she attacked a 42-year-old female worker, pulling the victim by the hair and dragging her to the ground, cops said.
“You Asian’s can’t stay here. Go back to your country,” the unhinged woman yelled, sources told the Daily News.
A 48-year-old man who also works at the restaurant tried to intervene — and was punched in the face, causing a cut on his lip, the sources said.
Both workers refused medical attention, cops said.
The suspect, who was wearing a black coat, black pants and black sneakers, headed south on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. and then went east on West 141th St., the sources said. The incident is being investigated as a hate crime by NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS; all calls are kept confidential.
