Courtney Love is getting UK citizenship after Trump victory

Courtney Love wants to stay across the pond.

The 60-year-old actress and singer, who is a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, recently spoke at the Royal Geographical Society in London and said she plans to become a permanent UK resident.

“It’s so great to live here. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months,” said Love, per the Daily Mail.

“I get to be a citizen. I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!” she added.

Love, who has been living in London for several years, went on to slam Trump, 78, and his allies.

“In terms of Trump, and particularly this group… it’s like emperor-core. Like, [they’re] wearing million-dollar watches,” she said.

Kurt Cobain’s widow added, “Emperor-core is going on at Mar-a-Lago. It’s frightening now. It’s like cyanide now.”

In 2022, she showed off her London townhouse in a Soho House article and revealed her morning routine.

“I brew some rare tea (speedy English breakfast) and down my smoothie (containing cistus, Viennese peat, probiotic, algae, chlorella, coriander), and a shot of raw kefir,” she said at the time. “I feed the animals, then I hit my knees and chant Daimoku to my gohonzon in my altar room for 20 to 45 minutes. After which, I’ll face the day.”

Love is not the first celebrity to move out of the US.

Rosie O’Donnell recently confirmed she moved to Ireland with her 12-year-old daughter Dakota in the wake of Trump’s reelection victory.

“It’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say,” the comedian, 62, said in a TikTok video about life in Ireland.

“I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child. And here we are,” O’Donnell added.

The “Exit to Eden” actress alluded to Trump’s policies, saying, “It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally as well. The personal is political, as we all know.”

The couple, who wed in 2008, will likely “never” return to the States on a permanent basis, sources told The Wrap a few weeks after the election.

Other celebrities like America Ferrera and Cher vowed to leave the US if Trump became president again — but they have yet to follow through on their promise.
