Singer D4vd is halting his world tour after the girl found in his impounded Tesla was identified Wednesday as teenager Celeste Rivas, who disappeared over a year ago at age 13.
The 20-year-old “Romantic Homicide” singer, real name David Anthony Burke, will no longer perform Wednesday at his previously scheduled second show at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo, sources told TMZ.
At the time of publication, the Sept. 17 show is still listed on the website for the Queens-born artist’s tour, slated to kick off its European leg Oct. 1.
News broke last week that a decomposing body was found in a bag inside D4vd’s car at a Los Angeles tow yard, days after the vehicle was reported missing and towed from the Hollywood Hills. Authorities at the time said the remains were not in tact. Lawyers for the musician said he was fully cooperating with authorities.
The remains were confirmed Wednesday to have belonged to Rivas, who disappeared in April 2024 from her family’s Lake Elsinore, Calif. home, about 76 miles southeast of the Hollywood Hills.
The Los Angeles Police Department on Wednesday said in a statement to NBC News that there is no current information about a suspect and authorities do not “have a crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death.”
Rivas’ mother told TMZ that the teen had a boyfriend named David and a “Shhh…” tattoo on her right index finger, matching the description of the victim. The outlet also reported Wednesday that D4vd similarly has a “Shhh…” tattoo on the same finger.
Such a finger tattoo is a throwback often sported by celebrities in the aughts, including Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan and Lily Allen.
Representatives for D4vd did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
