The father of Keith Urban’s rumored new love interest is speaking out in the wake of Nicole Kidman’s divorce from the country superstar.
Chuck Baugh, whose 25-year-old daughter, Maggie Baugh, plays guitar for the “Somebody Like You” singer, has revealed whether he thinks the pair are romantically linked.
“I don’t know anything about it, other than she’s a guitar player for him,” he told Daily Mail on Thursday.
Baugh’s dad, who met Urban last year during a concert in Las Vegas, Nevada, added that he believes his daughter’s relationship with the country crooner is strictly professional.
“It’s more of a musician thing than a dating thing,” he said, before admitting that he hasn’t “heard one way or the other.”
The news of Kidman and Urban’s split first broke on Monday, one day before the “Babygirl” actress pulled the trigger and filed for divorce from the “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer in Nashville, Tennessee.
Sources claimed the pair had been separated “since the beginning of summer” and that Urban had already “moved out of their family home” for his own pad in Nashville.
Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind their split, per the divorce documents obtained by The Post, and listed their date of separation as “date of filing.”
Insiders close to the former couple, meanwhile, suggested Urban was already seeing another woman, although it was unclear if he started dating her before or after leaving the Oscar winner.
“All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman,” a source told TMZ. “Let’s just say Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”
“It’s all over Nashville,” another insider claimed.
The rumors that Urban was seeing another woman gained more momentum after it was revealed that the Grammy winner changed a song lyric originally about Kidman to reference Baugh during a recent concert.
“I know Keith. I know his mannerisms,” a Nashville radio professional told Daily Mail. “Even if I didn’t know what I know, I’d be like, ‘There’s something going on here.’”
“The rumor is that it was an aspiring musician on the scene, a much-younger brunette, and she totally fits the bill,” he added of Baugh.
Another Nashville insider claimed that “the gossip all over town” was that Urban and his guitarist “have had a thing for a few months.”
“It’s like one big high school with rumors and innuendo, but also a lot of people know a lot of things,” they shared. “It is 100 percent credible that they’d be together.”
The former “American Idol” judge invited Baugh, who first made a name for herself as a rising country music star on TikTok, to perform with him at the CMT Music Awards in April 2024.
She later accompanied Urban again for musical guest appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that same year.
Baugh went on to join the “Be Here” artist’s band when he kicked off his current tour back in May.
As for Kidman, she was recently spotted for the first time since filing for divorce from Urban earlier this week.
The “Pretty Little Lies” star broke cover and was photographed during a hike with her younger sister, Antonia, in Nashville on Wednesday.
Besides leaning on her family for support amid her split from Urban, Kidman has also reportedly turned to longtime friend Naomi Watts for “clever” advice during the tough time.
The former power couple first met at the G’Day USA Gala in January 2005, and they tied the knot one year later on June 25, 2006.
They welcomed two daughters during their 19-year marriage: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Kidman, however, noted in the divorce docs that she seeks to be the “primary residential parent” of the kids.
The exes have reportedly hashed out a parenting plan, too, which outlines that the “Eyes Wide Shut” star will have Sunday and Faith for 306 days of the year while Urban will get them for 59.
