“The Dark Knight Rises” actor Alon Aboutboul has died. He was 60.
Aboutboul collapsed and died on HaBonim Beach in Tel Aviv, Israel on Tuesday morning, according to The Jerusalem Post.
The Israeli actor was reportedly swimming in the water and when he came out he told people he was feeling unwell, onlookers claimed, before he collapsed.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and spent an hour trying to resuscitate Aboutboul, but they were unsuccessful, per The Jerusalem Post.
The cause of death is currently unknown.

The Post has reached out to Aboutboul’s reps for comment.
Miki Zohar, Israel’s minister for culture and sport, paid tribute to Aboutboul on X.
“I was deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of the actor Alon Aboutboul, may his memory be blessed,” Zohar wrote, per Google translator. “Over the years, he portrayed a wide range of characters, bringing depth and emotion to them, leaving a profound mark on Israeli culture.”
The late actor is reportedly survived by his wife, Shir Bilia, and their four children.
Aboutboul portrayed Russian nuclear physicist Dr. Leonid Pavel in 2012″s “The Dark Knight Rises,” the third and final film in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.
