Demi Lovato’s ex-fiancé arrested for alleged abuse of mom

Demi Lovato’s ex-fiancé, actor Max Ehrich, was arrested in South Florida after cops say he violently launched at his mom earlier this week.

The 34-year-old “Young and the Restless” alum was taken into custody Tuesday night in Port St. Lucie on a charge of battery on a person 65 or older, according to TMZ. Ehrich was released Wednesday after posting $1,000 bond.

His mom reportedly told authorities that the violence began in the home that they share during an argument over a phone. She claimed Ehrich chased her outside onto a neighboring property, threw her to the ground and kicked her in the thigh. He had allegedly been livestreaming the abuse, according to a call cops received reporting the incident.

Though Ehrich’s mom would not give a written statement or let police photograph her injuries, she reportedly said her son “heavily abuses inhalants,” among them nitrous oxide, which she claimed he had used ahead of Tuesday’s violence.

The “Under the Dome” actor has been placed on a psychiatric hold, under the state’s Mental Health Act or Baker Act, according to TMZ.

Demi Lovato couldn’t hide her happiness on May 22, 2020 in new photos taken with her boyfriend Max Ehrich. The singer snapped photos of herself, her dogs Cinderella and Batman, and Ehrich enjoying each other’s company on Thursday.

Ehrich and Lovato, 33, had a whirlwind romance in 2020, with the former proposing after just four months and their engagement lasting a bit over two.

An insider later told People that the Grammy nominee called it quits due to believing Ehrich was “trying to further his career” through their relationship.

The Disney Channel alum — who’s gearing up for the Oct. 24 release of her ninth studio album, “It’s Not That Deep” — tied the knot with artist-songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes earlier this year.
