Demi Moore’s family freaks out over her first acting win in 45-year career at Golden Globes 2025

Demi Moore’s massive talent was finally recognized — and her daughters couldn’t be happier.

The 62-year-old’s family cheered her on from afar while she took home her first Golden Globe award on Sunday in the category of best actress in a comedy or musical for her role in “The Substance.”

Rumer Willis, Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis, whom Moore shares with ex-husband Bruce Willis, were at home watching the television anxiously when they heard their mom’s name be called.

The trio jumped up and down, screaming in excitement and crying tears of joy. Even Moore’s granddaughter, Rumer’s 21-month-old daughter Louetta, was there for the moment.

“SHE DID IT,” Scout, 33, wrote beneath a video shared to Instagram.

Adding a picture of Moore holding her award on her Instagram Stories, the actress wrote: “I am so beyond proud, my entire body is buzzing. I am so overwhelmed with joy, and pride and gratitude!”

Rumer, 36, took to her own social media to congratulate Moore on her first-ever award.

“What a gift to witness you shine and be acknowledged not only for the incredible work you did in this film but in the multitude of staggeringly breathtaking work your entire career,” the 36-year-old wrote beneath the clip on her Instagram Stories. “This is just the beginning.”

Tallulah, 30, also gushed over her mom, calling her the “greatest teacher.”

“This woman is my teacher, my guide my friend,” she penned. “The world is seeing you as your family does, and I am beaming with pride.”

Tallulah posted the moment Moore realized she’d won the coveted award, writing, “I love you mom. You are the greatest teacher. The genuine shock makes me tear up. You are so worthy.”

The “Ghost” staralso received praise from Bruce’s current wife, Emma Heming Willis, who shared on Instagram: “We’re screaming over here!!! Congratulations @demimoore!!!!!”

“I really wasn’t expecting that,” Moore said on stage. “I’m just in shock right now.”

The “G.I. Jane” star revealed that the acting win was her first ever in the span of her 45-year career.

Outside of People’s Choice Awards honors, Moore has not won any prestigious industry award before.

She went on to recall an exchange with a movie producer 30 years ago who called her a “popcorn actress.”

“At that time, I made that mean that this wasn’t something that I was allowed to have,” Moore continued. “And I bought in and I believed that and that corroded me over time to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it. Maybe I was complete, maybe I’ve done what I was supposed to do.”

Confessing the role came at a low point in her life, Moore reflected on how “The Substance” came to be.

“[Then] I had this magical, bold, courageous, out of the box, absolutely bonkers script come across my desk called ‘The Substance,’ and the universe told me that you’re not done.”

Concluding her speech with a courageous message, Moore relayed: “I’ll just leave you with one thing that I think this movie is imparting. In those moments, when we don’t think we’re smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or basically just not enough: I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know, you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.’”
