In it to win it.
Denise Richards has revealed she “ruptured” both of her breast implants while competing on season 3 of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 53, shared the shocking story on Friday’s episode of SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live.
“I jumped off a bridge, too — and that’s when I ruptured my [breast] implants — off of that thing,” Richards confessed in the interview, which she did alongside her husband Aaron Phypers, 52.
The reality TV star went on to say that the harness she wore for the jump caused both of the implants to rupture. She has yet to fix them.
“I still have to get them redone,” she told host Jeff Lewis, 54. “I was supposed to a month ago but couldn’t because we were filming, so yeah, no, I still have to get them redone.”
And according to the star, her insurance won’t cover the repair.
“I have to pay,” she said. “I think we pretty much signed our life away doing that show.”
“It’s dangerous.”
Phypers then chimed in suggesting they could try and get Fox — which airs “Special Forces” — to pay for the procedure.
“Maybe we can work that in after the fact,” he remarked.
Richards competed against Trista Sutter, Stephen Baldwin, Brody Jenner, Christy Carlson Romano, Cam Newton and others on the third season of “Special Forces,” set in Wales. The home of British Special Forces Selection, the country proved the perfect spot for the celebrity recruits to face the harsh realities of ocean warfare.
The group of 16 stars faced a series of daunting challenges including high pressure hostage rescue, a treacherous ladder crossing between steep cliffs nearly 100-feet above the sea, a boat dunk drill where they’re submerged in the freezing ocean and a surf immersion that took them to the brink of drowning, according to a press release.
Richards’s three daughters — Sami, 20, Lola, 19, and Eloise, 13 — were “very upset” when they found out she was competing on the show.
“They did not want me to do it. They were afraid I was going to get hurt or get killed, and they were actually really angry,” Richards told People last December.
“It was the first time of all the times I’ve done different projects or traveled they were very upset with me.”
Despite their concern and that fact that she, by her own description, is “not athletic at all,” Richards didn’t bow out.
“I thought, ‘This is the most challenging thing I’ll ever do, and why not do it?’” she explained. “I was terrified, but once I made the commitment to do it, I was there.”
She added, “I was so intimidated by everyone. I didn’t know who was going to be there, but I did hear there were some athletes, and I can’t compete with that.
“But that’s the greatest thing too, is it’s not about competing against anybody but myself, and that’s why they strip us down raw, physically and mentally and emotionally and all of that.”
“Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” season 3 premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
