There might be trouble in paradise for “Love Island USA” couple Iris Kendall and Pepe Garcia Gonzalez one month after leaving the villa.
Fans began speculating the pair may have broken up after noticing Iris and Pepe unfollowed each other on Instagram. Iris also removed all photos of Pepe from her feed, further fueling rumors of their split.
On Sunday, Iris shared a photo of a sunset paired with the Fleetwood Mac song “Silver Springs,” which famously is about a painful breakup.
Although both Iris and Pepe have remained tight-lipped about their relationship status, both reality stars are currently in New York ahead of the filming of Season 7’s reunion special.
Following their departure from the villa, the pair told People about their commitment to each other.
“We both date in very similar ways,” Pepe told People in July. “We just want to focus on one person, ride out the wave, or if the wave just continues to go, then just be together, but just be happy. That’s all we care about for each other.”
He continued, “Obviously, with how everything blew up, we’re just trying to make it as normal as possible and take things like we normally would have two months ago.”
It’s unclear if Iris and Pepe will address their potential falling out during the reunion special, which will be hosted by Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen.
The “Love Island USA” reunion premieres Monday at 6 p.m. on Peacock.
