Actor-director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were reported to have been found dead with knife wounds in their Los Angeles mansion on Sunday afternoon.
Multiple news outlets were reporting two people were found dead in Reiner’s home; TMZ identified the pair as Reiner, 78, and his 68-year-old wife.
The Los Angeles Police Department announced officers had found two people dead in a West Los Angeles home owned by the director and his wife, TMZ reported. LAPD sources told the outlet both had suffered lacerations consistent with knife wounds and that the department’s Robbery Homicide Division was investigating.
ABC News reported the LAPD was investigating two deaths at a home that property records show belongs to director Rob Reiner in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. Senior law enforcement sources told ABC News the victims were stabbed to death.

Rob Reiner, son of the late writer-director-comedian Carl Reiner, landed on the show-biz map as the “Meathead” son-in-law of Archie Bunker on edgy-for-its-time 1970s sitcom “All in the Family.”
He went on to direct a host of popular and classic movies such as “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally,” and “A Few Good Men,” to name just a few.
