Drake rants about exes before SZA, Serena Super Bowl appearances

Just hours before Kendrick Lamar took the Super Bowl halftime stage with two of Drake’s exes, the “Hotline Bling” rapper had some words for his past flames.

Ironically, Drizzy was filmed onstage venting about his exes during his concert in Melbourne, Australia. Before performing his song “You Broke My Heart,” the rapper called out former girlfriends who “play you in your f–king life.”

“If you ever in your life gave your time, gave your energy, gave your money, gave your heart, gave your soul, gave everything that you ever had to somebody, and they f–king played with you and wasted your time, wasted your energy, wasted your money, I want y’all to turn up to this song,” Drake said onstage.

He continued, “This is for all y’all exes, and everybody that can play you in their f–king life. If you’re doing better than your ex, I want to see you turn the f–k up. Now you can play the song.”

Hours later, SZA and Serena Williams, both of whom previously dated Drake, were turning up at Caesars Superdome on stage with Drake’s sworn enemy, Lamar.

Williams, who dated the Toronto born rapper from 2011 to 2015, made a dance cameo during Lamar’s five-time Grammy-winning Drake diss track, “Not Like Us.” The 43-year-old tennis star was seen “Crip-walking” to the popular track dissing her ex.

On top of that, SZA, who dated Drake in 2009, was also on the Super Bowl stage performing two of her collaborations with Lamar: “Luther” and “All the Stars.”

Meanwhile, Drake is currently in an ongoing legal battle after suing Universal Music Group over Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” claiming the record label  helped spread a “false and malicious” narrative about him by promoting the song.

Lamar addressed the lawsuit in his Super Bowl performance. “I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue,” Lamar said onstage before performing the track.

Super Bowl LIX performers Lamar and SZA are set to begin their 19-city stadium tour, called the Grand National Tour, on April 19.
