Dramatic video shows man gunning down attackers following Bronx dispute

A man embroiled in a dispute and attacked by two other men pulled out a gun and wildly opened fire at the pair in a bloody confrontation Monday in the Bronx, police said.

In a stunning video obtained by the Daily News, two men are seen grabbing and kicking a third male around 12:59 p.m. near Commonwealth and Westchester Aves. in Soundview.

The jaw-dropping video shows that during the confrontation, the gunman — dressed in a hoodie — is held in a rear waist lock by his attacker while another man man appears to be filming the assault on a cell phone. The gunman then suddenly pulls out a gun and fires a shot over his shoulder, striking one of the assailants, and runs off before firing yet another shot at the other attacker.

According to cops, a 27-year-old man was unresponsive and unconscious with a gunshot wound to the torso when police responded. EMS rushed the man to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was in critical condition, police said.

One horrified witness told The News she overheard the men talking during their argument.

“At first I thought they were robbing him,” the witness told The News. “One of the guys were saying ‘give me my money, give me my money’ like he owed them. They were kicking him and he was saying ‘I don’t have no money’.”

“He pulled a gun out of nowhere and pow pow pow — the guy in the orange went down,” the witness continued, asking, “See that blood right there? This is his.”

There have been no arrests, police said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
