A 41-year-old man was knifed to death in an East Harlem residential rehab facility by a neighbor cops arrested on murder charges several hours later, police said Friday.
Cops were called to the six-story E. 121st St. building run by Odyssey House about 2 p.m. on Thursday, where they found the 41-year-old victim bleeding from multiple stab wounds to the chest and torso.
EMS rushed him to Harlem Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved. His name was not immediately disclosed.
Cops tracked the alleged stabber, identified as 42-year-old Julian Parks, to the Upper West Side, where he was apprehended around 12:30 a.m. Friday.
Parks lived at Odyssey House with his victim, but it wasn’t immediately disclosed if the two men knew each other, cops said. The victim was stabbed during an argument with Parks.
Police charged Parks with murder and weapons possession. His arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court was pending Friday.
Odyssey House provides housing for people enrolled in their drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. An email to Odyssey House for comment on the murder was not immediately returned.
