That’s a wrap for the Liberty‘s 2025 regular season at Barclays Center.
On Tuesday evening, the Liberty easily defeated the Mystics, 75-66, in their final regular-season home game of the year.
The defending champions led by as many as 17 points and carried a double-digit advantage for most of the contest.
They were led by reserve forward Emma Meesseman, who outscored Washington’s bench, 19-14, by herself. She added three rebounds and an assist to add to her statline.
The Liberty’s regular-season finale takes place Thursday against the Chicago Sky, Then, the postseason is next with a likely first-round playoff series against Alyssa Thomas and the Phoenix Mercury.
The real regular-season finale win, though, came a day prior with the Liberty posting an injury-free status report for the matchup.
The starters (Sabrina Ionescu, Natasha Cloud and Breanna Stewart) and reserves (Nyara Sabally and Isabelle Harrison) finally suited up altogether and were deemed active right before the start of the postseason.
Harrison and Sabally checked in during garbage time and received a huge ovation from the Liberty faithful.
The duo recorded just over two minutes of game time as Rebekah Gardner, Meesseman and Sixth Player of the Year candidate Kennedy Burke dominated, registering plus-30 in 56 total minutes off the bench.
Washington’s stellar rookie Sonia Cintron finished with 13 points while her fellow 2025 draftee Kiki Iriafen scored a team-high 16 points.
Tuesday night’s loss for the Mystics gives the rebuilding squad a 16-28 record to end the campaign. They missed the postseason for the second consecutive year, but hope brighter days are ahead with Cintron and Iriafen leading the rebuild.
