Emma Stone debuted a new ‘do at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.
The “Kinds of Kindness” actress, 36, rocked a short pixie cut for Sunday’s show, hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser and held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. While she’s not up for an award, Stone will be surrounded by the night’s biggest winners.
The actress shocked viewers at home when she showed up to the red carpet with her shortest (and most extreme) look yet — just months after it was speculated she had shaved her head and worn a wig to the New York Film Festival in October.
Sporting a strapless red gown for the star-studded night, Stone arrived at the biggest night in TV and movies with her husband, Dave McCary; however, it was her short hair that stole the show.
“EMMA STONEEEE OMG OMG,” one person posted on X, formerly Twitter. “Emma Stone has chopped off her hair — love the pixie! — which really stands out with her strapless red gown on #goldenglobes,” shared a second.

“Emma Stone with a pixie cut???? i think i’ve died and gone to heaven,” posted a third. “Emma Stone was meant to have a pixie cut! Haters can’t stand it!” added another.
Stone’s pixie cut debut comes after fans were convinced she had shaved her signature red locks for her role in Yorgos Lanthimos’ upcoming comedy sci-fi film, “Bugonia.”
Details of “Bugonia” are sparse; however, the a synopsis for the flick posted by its studio says it’s about “two conspiracy obsessed young men [who] kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.”
There were several clues that led fans to speculate Stone had undergone a drastic transformation.
In October, the two-time Oscar winner stepped out in New York City wearing a beanie — and it appeared that she was bald underneath.

That same month, Stone was seen at the 2024 New York Film Festival and appeared to be wearing a wig. In a clip posted on X, the “Poor Things” actress is seen adjusting the hairpiece after hugging Kieran Culkin’s wife, Jazz Charton.
She’s no stranger to changing her hair style.
Stone even let her “Kinds of Kindness” co-star Joe Alwyn cut her red locks during filming.
“She is also trustworthy. I cut her hair, which just means cutting off her ponytail, but even so!” Alwyn told People last year.
“Bugonia” also stars Jesse Plemons and Alicia Silverstone.
The flick is expected to be released later this year.
