Emma Watson has been banned from driving for six months after the “Harry Potter” star was caught speeding in her native England.
The 35-year-old British actress already had nine points on her license when she was clocked driving 38 mph in a 30 mph zone in Oxford on July 31 of last year, according to the BBC.
Watson — who’s currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Oxford — reportedly skipped out on a five-minute hearing Wednesday at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.
In addition to the driving ban, due to a judge’s decision to add three more points to Watson’s license, the actress was ordered to pay £1,044 (just over $1,400 USD).
“She is in a position to pay the fine,” Watson’s lawyer, Mark Haslam, told the court.
Haslam did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
Watson remains best known for playing brilliant goody two-shoes Hermione Granger, one of Harry Potter’s best friends in the magical film franchise. J.K. Rowling’s books are getting the small screen treatment at HBO, where it’s scheduled to premiere in 2017. The series started filming this week.
