Kim Delaney, known for TV roles in “NYPD Blue,” “All My Children” and “General Hospital,” was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon following a domestic disturbance at her home, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Lieutenant Kenneth Jose Salgado confirmed that the 65-year-old Emmy winner was taken into custody alongside her husband, James Morgan — who was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor spousal battery.
The couple were apprehended at a residence in Marina del Rey, a coastal community near Los Angeles.
Details of what transpired were unavailable Monday and Delaney remained in jail as of Sunday night with no bail listed for the felony arrest allegation.
Morgan, 54, was booked on a misdemeanor charge and was released on bond Saturday. According to inmate records, his bail amount was $20,000.
The Philadelphia native celebrated the couple’s two-year wedding anniversary on social media in October, writing on Instagram: “Great memories! I love you, hubby-your wife for life.”
Though she won acclaim for playing Detective Diane Russell on the popular ABC procedural series, this is not Delaney’s first time on the wrong side of the law.

In the early 2000s, she was sentenced to two years of probation and paid a $300 fine after a 2002 arrest for suspicion of drunk driving. According to Entertainment Weekly, she later pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.
Delaney, last seen on screen in the NBC drama series “Chicago Fire,” had previously entered rehab for alcoholism twice by 2006, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In November 2022, the actress was reportedly sued by a motorcyclist for an alleged hit-and-run that took place in Los Angeles.
Delaney’s court date has been scheduled for Tuesday.
