Ex-con, 31, stabbed to death during quarrel outside Bronx liquor store

A 31-year-old parolee released from prison two years ago was stabbed to death outside a Bronx liquor store, police said Tuesday.

Katrell Dixon got into an argument with his killer man outside the store on Third Ave. store E. 165th St. in the South Bronx about 10:30 p.m. Monday, cops said.

As the clash escalated, the killer whipped out a knife and stabbed Dixon in the chest multiple times.

Medics rushed Dixon to Lincoln Hospital but he could not be saved. He lived in the Soundview section of the Bronx, according to cops.

Dixon, a police source said, had a criminal record with 20 arrests.

In 2018, he was convicted of attempted assault and was sentenced to six years in prison, according to state records. He was released on July 12, 2023, and put on parole until June 2026.

His killer, who has not been caught, was last seen running off south on Third Ave.

Cops on Tuesday were scouring the area looking for surveillance footage that could track the stabber’s movements after he fled the scene.
