A BMW driver and a passenger were fighting for their lives Saturday after their out-of-control luxury car vaulted into oncoming traffic on the Belt Parkway in Queens, slamming into two unsuspecting motorists in a fiery crash, the NYPD said.
The white BMW was heading east on the Belt Parkway approaching the Cross Bay Blvd. exit in Howard Beach just after 6 a.m. when the 24-year-old driver lost control of the wheel, cops said.
The luxury car slammed into a concrete divider and sailed into the air, coming down on the other side of the highway, where it crashed into a Honda CRV and a red Hyundai heading westbound.

The BMW caught fire after the victims scrambled to escape from it, officials said.
First responders pulled five people from the mangled BMW, including the driver and an unidentified woman, who were both listed in critical condition at Brookdale University Hospital Saturday.
Three others, a 21-year-old woman and two men, both 25, were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries. The 26-year-old man driving the Honda CRV and the 31-year-old woman operating the Hyundai were also listed in stable condition at area hospitals.
Cops closed off the westbound lanes to the Belt Parkway as members of the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad tried to determine what sparked the crash Saturday.
