The four-alarm fire started about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in an apartment building on Graham Ave. near Metropolitan Ave. in Williamsburg, engulfing the top floor and a cockloft when firefighters arrived.

The flames soon spread to two adjoining row frame buildings, FDNY officials said.

“They’re made entirely of wood and the fire traveled heavily in that common cockloft,” FDNY Chief of Fire Operations Kevin Woods said in a social media post Sunday. Firefighters brought the blaze under control about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
