Florida man kills girlfriend in front of 3 kids, stages home invasion

A Florida man accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend in front of their three kids has been taken into custody, authorities said Thursday.

Saun Rainge Jr., 32, of Orlando, was arrested on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of Porshe Nikita Shanee’ Streeter in January 2024.

Streeter, 30, was “shot multiple times while she slept in bed with their three children,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Rainge, the father of those children, allegedly enlisted a co-conspirator to shoot Streeter to death. He then staged the murder as a home invasion, officials said.

On Jan. 23, 2024, Rainge called 911 to say he was at their apartment in the Pine Hills area when someone walked in and shot him and Streeter, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by WESH.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they located both Streeter and Rainge with gunshot wounds. Streeter, who was shot 10 times, was pronounced dead at the scene, reported Fox 35 Orlando. Rainge was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to his arm.

The children, ages 10, 2 and 1, were not physically harmed, officials said.

Rainge claimed the shooting had been the result of a home invasion. His story, however, didn’t add up for OSCO detectives, who worked for “more than a year to secure justice for Porshe.”

Rainge was taken into custody on Wednesday, online records show.

His accomplice, Benjamin Garmon Jr., had been previously arrested and charged with first-degree murder, reported Fox 35. He’s being held at the Seminole County Jail.

Rainge and Streeter had known each other since high school, officials said. Their relationship was described as “toxic,” according to the arrest affidavit.

Investigators believe Rainge wanted to kill the mother of his children over custody disputes and thought she was hiding money from him.
