Steve Burton said “I do!”
The “General Hospital” star, 54, married chef and content creator Michelle Lundstrom in Laguna Beach, Calif. on Saturday.
The couple confirmed to People that their intimate wedding ceremony was held at a Orthodox church attended by family only, followed by an oceanfront reception with a 45-person guest list that included married “General Hospital” stars Jonathan Jackson and wife Lisa Vultaggio.
“This day isn’t just about a ceremony. It’s the beginning of forever with the love of my life,” Burton told the outlet.
Burton’s children Makena, 21, Jack, 19, and Brooklyn, 10, who he shares with ex-wife Sheree Gustin, were in the wedding party, as were Lundstrom’s daughters Lilah, 14, and Hannah, 10.
Lundstrom wore a custom, strapless couture gown designed by Lee Petra Grebenau on her wedding day.
“When I tried on my dress I knew it was the one,” she said. “I came out to show my girls and they both said, ‘That’s the one, Mom!’ We all knew.”
Burton added to People, “I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, growing together each day in faith and love.”
The actor and Lundstrom made their romance public at the Daytime Emmy Awards in June 2024.
“Our first red carpet together. It was a dream of a night from beginning to end. Thank you for all the beautiful kind comments & messages. I’m truly grateful ❤️🙏🏼,” Lundstrom captioned her Instagram post from the event.
Burton announced his split from his first wife in July 2022, claiming that Gustin had gotten pregnant by another man.
“I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine,” Burton wrote on Instagram at the time.
“We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve,” he added.
Gustin gave birth to her daughter, Izabella, in February 2023.
Burton and Gustin agreed to split legal and physical custody of their three children. They finalized their divorce in Dec. 2023.
Burton portrayed Jason Morgan on “General Hospital” from 1991 until his character was killed off in 2012, then again starting in 2017.
But he was fired from the ABC soap opera in November 2021 after refusing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
“I don’t think anybody should lose their livelihood over this, but, with that being said, you know me, I’ll always be grateful for my time at ‘General Hospital,’” he said in an Instagram video at the time.
Burton returned to the show in 2024, though not in a permanent capacity.
