George Strait Chris Stapleton tour 2025: Where to buy tickets

The King of Country is returning to his rightful throne the road.

George Strait just announced he’s striking out on a brief five-concert tour this summer with co-headliner Chris Stapleton.

That includes a stop at Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium on Saturday, June 14 for the 72-year-old hitmaker.

Before that, he’ll also bring his deep back catalog — and 2024 album “Cowboys and Dreamers” — to Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, May 10.

“I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back,” Strait said in a statement. “I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year.”

At four of the five shows, Strait and Stapleton will be joined by special guest Parker McCollum; Little Big Town is slated to open for the honky tonk pair at their final gig of the year, which takes place at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Saturday, July 19.

In addition to the quick jaunt, Chris Stapleton is also headlining his annual ‘All-American Roadshow’ this summer with big names like Marcus King and The War and Treaty.

Midway through Stapleton’s trek, he’ll swoop into Albany’s MVP Arena on Friday, June 20, Belmont Park’s UBS Arena on Wednesday, July 23 and NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26.

Fans can purchase tickets for all George Strait shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the summer tour is Friday, Feb. 21.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

George Strait new music

On Sept. 6, 2024, Strait unveiled his 31st studio album “Cowboys and Dreamers.”

The 13-track record doesn’t really surprise but it doesn’t need to. That’s not what The King of Country is about. Instead, he sticks to his familiar twang and revisits evergreen subject matter like family, friends, the good ol’ days and cold brews.

Can’t-miss cuts here include the plodding “Cowboys and Dreamers” that evokes a pleasant horseback ride, the Jimmy Buffett-esque ode to Miami “MIA in MIA,” melancholy “Wish I Could Say” and stripped-down “Rent,” which recently deceased Nashville singer Keith Gattis wrote. As a warning, Strait’s spoken tribute to the dearly departed preceding the track will surely tug at your heartstrings and may even make you well up.

On a lighter note, you won’t want to skip Strait’s rousing “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame” duet with Stapleton, either. It’s a true crowd-pleaser.

To hear for yourself, you can listen to “Cowboys and Dreamers” in full here.

George Strait special guests

For those not familiar with Strait’s special guests sounds — while highly unlikely it’s possible — here’s each artist’s most-streamed track on Spotify.

Chris Stapleton: “Tennessee Whiskey”

Parker McCollum: “Pretty Heart”

Little Big Town: “Girl Crush”
