Giants trade up with Houston Texans, select Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart

Joe Schoen got the Giants a quarterback of the future.

The Giants GM traded up from pick No. 34 with the Houston Texans at No. 25 in Thursday night’s NFL Draft first round to select Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.

The Daily News first reported the trade and its terms: New York gave up pick No. 34 in the second round, pick No. 99 in the third round and a future third-rounder to get their guy.

They took Dart with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders still on the board after the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers passed on taking a quarterback in the first round.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
